Will you throw caution to the wind ?

Take care and get better soon, Holly! You don't need any additional illness concerns right now.

About the cake, I'll make the supreme sacrifice and order two slices of what Keesha is offering, and will save one slice for you. How's that? 😁

Well, I almost always did my own thing. I was a bit of a rebel most of my life. Didn't like following the pack. However, with this Cornavirus, I really don't have much options. The libraries, the restaurants & most other places are closed. I am not going to drive by a burger joint & then spill food all over my trousers or spill my coffee. If I can't eat inside a restaurant I refuse to eat in my car. So, I'm staying home except going outside for my daily walk. Don't go anywhere except for groceries on Monday morning. Maybe I'll beat the crowds at 7 AM. It's hard to do much outside when the whole country is closing down. The premier of our province has declared a state of emergency. Guess, I'll just lay low whenever this all blows over. I do hope it blows over before I die. Some of the "gloom & doom" people in the media have been saying that this could go on for years. They are saying that there could be a 2nd wave of this Cornavirus. I don't know & I got a feeling that they don't know either.

thanks Marlene xx, yes you're absolutely right, it's very scary but I'm trying to keep things in proportion.. I don't want to add hysteria to my tale of woes as well..
Now don't you be going and doing something silly. You get yourself well!

Hollydolly, and all others who are under the weather, warm hugs (at the recommended distance) for a speedy recovery. We're fortunate that there are no cases of the virus in this area, but we're trying to keep ourselves to ourselves as much as possible. We still have to go shopping (and look at empty shelves), but unless we can't go out at all, we'll be off for walks on the beach and maybe the occasional picnic.

The grocery store that I work for has both home delivery and sidewalk pickup. Right now, we are limiting the number of items and no substituting. The charge for pickup is $2.95, but we are waving it for now. I don’t know the price for home delivery.
They have something like that here (southeastern Mass.). Locally the delivery service is called "PeaPod" and I believe it's associated with the Stop & Shop chain. Haven't used it before but our daughter has and she's enjoyed their service. Maybe we'll give it a try.

Some of our local stores have also been opening an hour early for just seniors which is a convenience.

There are asinine rules & there is common sense.
I've been going out every day, shopping & bringing food & supplies to elderly friends. I'm fine, so far.
I don't touch my face & when I get home, I wash my hands. I don't have a cell phone, so I'm not putting anything on my face that has anything on it. I see many people shopping, wearing gloves & chatting on their phones. How many things do people touch before putting their phone on their face? IMO, that's one way this is spreading.

Hi Wren. Following the guidelines and only going out for prescriptions and necessities. I am totally avoiding the big grocery stores and getting delivery and also my apt. manager is helping me with groceries now, too, since I have no car.

That cake looks to die for! Sure I'd like some!

I have some spice cupcakes that I made and put in the freezer. Have some:

Thats what we have here Peapod and so far its served me well....order online, drive to the grocers designated parking space and someone comes out with the goods....I always call the delivery person in charge ahead of time to review whats missing from my order first....she replaces it over the phone with another item and charges me the same price as the original product, even if the replacement is much more....what a good deal that is. But I'm reading above that there may not be substitutes offered at this time....I'll be hurting if there's not enuf food to be bought :(
