Word of the Day - Goblin Mode

Goblin Mode (noun) - a type of behavior which is unapologetically self-indulgent, lazy, slovenly, or greedy, typically in a way that rejects social norms or expectations; a sense of entitlement.

"Goblin Mode" was chosen as the 'Word of the Year' by Oxford Languages.

Not to be confused with Paella Mode which is a Spanish dish with rice/meat/vegetables topped with ice cream.

Think dirty sweatpants, a messy home, piles of junk food and an overall attitude of not caring what anyone thinks of you.

That’s what CBC said today in their article about Goblin Mode. I’d never heard of it and am not keen on meeting these Goblins.
