Jitney (noun) - a bus or other vehicle carrying passengers for a low fare.

To get to the restaurant, the office workers took a jitney to the venue.

We called old cars that were torn down to the frame and running gear a jitney or doodle-bug. Had one one the farm that I raised heck with.
