Wordle game

A couple of weeks ago I wanted to play the game on my tablet instead of my computer (where I had the original link) and stumbled onto a different wordle website.

Bonus! On this site there's no limit to how many wordle puzzles you can do, and it also allows you to change the number of letters in the puzzles. I prefer 6 or 7 characters.

Happy playing, ya'll!

The British Software Engineer Inventor.. has sold it to the New York Times for over a million Dollars, just 3 months after launching it on the Public in October 2021

Josh Wardle created the game Wordle - a play on his surname - during the pandemic to amuse his girlfriend, Palak Shah.

He began sharing his daily game with friends and family, who loved it: Once a day, players get six chances to guess a five-letter word in a grid.

'New York Times Games play a big part in its origins, and so this step feels very natural to me,' Wardle said Monday.

The Times said the purchase was part of a strategy to make the site the go-to resource for the English language, and drive more people to subscribe.

In October Wardle launched the game to the public. On November 1, it had 90 players. Now The Times says aficionados number in the millions.

I'm happy for the inventor but the sale to the New York Times probably means we will soon have to pay for it. :(

I did as well. I downloaded the Wordle app on my iPhone and it was a completely different game where you are timed to come up with the word. It sure kept me hopping!

I did not care for wordle that only allowed one play per day. I think the wordle game at the link you posted is pretty cool. You can play as much as you like. TY

The Tv show version of this has been on our screens for many years..it's called Lingo... and I've played lingo online also off and on for decades... but wordle is handy , I have it sitting on my desktop now and I play it a couple of times a day..using the version @StarSong posted with the various choice of letters. I love word games, always have.. and every day I do the cryptic crossword too..( not online)

4/6 but it took me like 90 seconds total today.

Wordle dubbed me MAGNIFICENT! Got it on my second word! It came to me in an audio "vision." No, really! Even playing wordle is something I usually forget!
