Would it be a good thing if everyone was the same as you?

As the English proverb goes, "Birds of a feather flock together." That's me.:)

Like others here, I would definitely like to surround myself with people who have the same morals, beliefs, interests and likes. They are called "good friends." That doesn't mean I don't like people different from me, because those people expand our universe and allow us to grow as individuals. It's just that life is easier if people have something to share that I can relate to and we get along in a peaceful environment. However, the world doesn't work that way. Too many differences in morals and beliefs in this world can cause much prejudice, tension, and violence.

Here on SF, many of us come together because of our ages and to share our stories and lives, and I have noticed quite a variety of likes, dislikes and beliefs, and interests. That's what makes this site interesting. It's a safe environment to explore different worlds and learn from each other.

This kind of reminds me that China under Mao tried to make everyone think the same. Ditto for Stalin who ruled Russia. I don't think I would every want to live in a country where people are forced to think alike. Sort of reminds me of the politically correct flying around my neck of the woods which I ignore. I'm not saying that the politically correct are wrong all the time. I'm saying that I hate to be forced to think like them against my will. Isn't this what democracy is suppose to be about?

No, no, no, no, and no.

There'd be no end of chaos if our strengths and weaknesses weren't balanced out by others.

Who would do the icky work? Operations? And more...

I don't think there's enough chocolate to share in this new world order. So, no. 🍫🍫🍫
