Not my idea of a fun time. I take diuretic medication and unless the transport has an onboard bathroom, be prepared to make frequent stops (I imagine other seniors have the same issue). I'd also probably sit next to someone that insists on showing me every photo ever taken of their grandkids, then when I try to start a conversation, they will turn away and do the same thing to someone else. I also get motion sickness very easily.
The only place I really want to see is here:

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I don't have any of those limitations but have taken care of individuals who have. My heart goes out.

Looks very cozy Deb.

I think I'll have to organize my own. So many around here feel like Dawn of the Dead or something:

I don't live in a rest home yet. I think I need to take advantage of what I have before I lose it too.

"Senior" just encompasses too large of an age range these days.

I absolutely adore traveling... ya know, I'm going to choose "maybe" for this particular question, though. My reasoning is that I don't think I'd want to travel with *only* seniors. If I'd get klutzy and fall on my posterior or sprain an ankle, (how embarrassing!) it would be nice to have a gen x or z or millennial bodybuilder on the trip to help out and fireman-carry me back to the vehicle. 🏋️‍♂️ :giggle:
I am certainly no millennial body builder, but I am certainly still physically capable of helping a lady who has fallen and injured herself. In fact I've had to do it twice in the past month. Is there, perhaps, another reason you want millennial body builder with you on the trip? 😉

I agree. I've decided to use the term "semi- seniors" to denote those of us who are old enough for the discounts, but not elderly.

I looked into a few local operations that do things like run buses of seniors on day trips. They typically work in conjunction with senior centers to find victims customers.

Sadly it was entirely dominated by old crocks just like in the senior centers and the trips look as dull and saccharine as that nasty "sweet tea" some people chug down.

So being younger and still halfway-able I didn't pursue it.
With a bit of luck, some day you will become "an old crock".

you're absolutely right.... take for example the singer Kylie Minogue... ..she's 56 years old,

and in todays' demographic she's classed as a senior... and there's many 50 sumthin's and even 60's sumthin's that look like her.. and wouldn't want to be on that Bus...

So I do think that classing someone in their 50's like that in the same senior role as say someone in their 90's... needs to change.

I'm in my late 60's.. and I've always been very happy in the company of older people ever since I was young.. but I don't look like the traditional almost 70 year old.. I know this without looking for compliments.. ..

That's a whole 40 years difference... 2 generations... older.. between the 50 and 90 ages..

Our senior center trips are very popular. I am going on the turkey train. a bus pickup at the senior center drives to a train in new hampshire. it travels thru the foliage and serves a full turkey dinner with all the fixings on the train and then a stop at a popular farm for shopping, and then a return bus trip back to the senior center. It does have a fee but totally worth it in my opinion.

they have bus trips to clambakes in Maine. Bus trips to a boat with dinner on board in Boston Harbor. Fun groups of people attend.

Now and then and over the last about 10
years, I have occasionally driven a neighbor
or others (who might no longer drive) Over
to our local Senior Centers. I have joined in
and visited with the group and then driven
the Seniors back home. We had a nice time.
I have been a Senior for some years, since
about 55 in my estimation :)

Senior Center trips are popular here also..

Be it 55, 60 or 65 years old on up, I enjoy
being a Senior.

all the coaches here in the UK used for day trips or longer trips have bathrooms

I voted no. Not because of the group being seniors but because I like doing things by myself.

I've got to the point where my time is precious to me and I've become a bit selfish how I spend it. I like my own agenda, doing what I want when I want. I guess I no longer play well with others. lol

Understand that, a coach trip to Scotland was spoilt for us as the itinerary did not allow enough time for some of the attractions.
