That is funny. I tell my friends. You know how you are getting old? Because you want to come home at the same time you used to go out.

As "evenings out" are getting increasingly rare, I'd vote for an "evening out".

We went out for dinner Friday night and a walk around the mall. We actually were out after dark! And didn't get home until almost nine!!!

Anytime lately that I'm out after dark is because I'm coming home at midnight from babysitting the grands.

Me too!

These days on the rare occasions that I do go out I experience severe sticker shock.

It amazes me how much the cost of a night on the town has increased since I stopped workng in 2005.

Evening out for an early dinner. Doesn't have to be fancy. Back home in an hour or two so I can still have an evening in all to myself.

Depends on what's going on . Out for dancing, in for listening to podcasts or conversation.

We combine shopping trips with lunch at a nice restaurant, a couple times
per week, so rarely opt to go out for dinner. On the rare occasion we go out for dinner, it's somewhere close to home.
