Would you ride one of the newer rollercoasters?

Tilt-A-Whirl always terrified me as a kid. They once had to stop it in mid Tilt as I was hysterical. I still can't look at it to this day without feeling sick.

One summer, in West Germany, when there was a West Germany, American soldiers staged a fair outside Berlin. I was able to ride their roller coaster. Had never ridden one before. Rode it many times. Loved it. I've never ridden one again and can't believe I ever did.
 
Years ago I saw a movie where an upside down rolling rollercoaster fell off the tracks and splat! Pretty gruesome. I won't ride them because of seeing that, I just don't trust the cars staying firmly on their tracks.
 
Once I insisted that my wife ride the Tilt-A-Whirl at the State Fair, and she finally relented and gave in, but got very sick and felt bad the rest of the day. She said never again.

But on another time, when we went on vacation to Colorado, they had real helicopter rides by a daredevil pilot, swooping down into a canyon, appearing to almost bang into things - it went on and on, maybe 10 minutes. I wouldn't ride that at all, but she wanted to and did, and was laughing when she got off.
 
Probably not. However, I have ridden the coasters at Coney Island, the parachute drop also at Coney Island, Montezuma's revenge at Knotts Berry Farms, Magic Mountain coaster's, and a bunch more I'm sure I'm forgetting.
None however can compare to the time I traded a case of c rations to a flyboy for a ride in a Cobra gunship. I can't describe the thrill riding in the nose of that beast.

Absolutely love them. Husband and I used to go to Magic Mountain and Disneyland (in Los Angeles), whenever a new one came out. I was sometimes terrified while waiting in line, but always loved the rides.
 
I rode a roller coaster with my ex and was pretty shook by the ride's end. My dear brave ex hurried out first and walked away ignoring me. The coaster attendant looked at him walking away, then over at me with a kind of puzzled, surprised look. It was embarrassing. Plus I was a bit wobbly.
 
A newer one yes. Rode on "WIld Thing", pictured below, a few years back at Valley Fair and I enjoyed it. But the older wood types - NO! The old ones jar your back terribly!

But as for other rides, probably nothing that spins in any way!

I'd do any new one near me in a heartbeat, if they didn't bar me because of my age or white hair.

Pretty sure they'd have a sign telling those under a certain height they can't ride and 'old people who showed up in
a Motorized Scooter or has White Hair and a Cane can't ride...'
 
Hell no! The last two roller coasters I was on was the Cyclone in Palisades Park, NJ. in 1969, and The Cyclone in Coney Island in the 1970's.
