We have them also. They are called ā€œlight rails.ā€ I have been on them at airports around the country. They take passengers from the concourse to the main terminal. Baltimore has one that goes from near the PA line to downtown Baltimore and out to the airport. In Florida, there are trains that are automated in Miami and Jacksonville. There are probably a lot of these trains running in different states. I like them, except for the fact that some make too many stops, which extends the time to get to the end of the line.

yes ours are called Docklands light railway !

When I lived in the Seattle region, I sometimes rode the monorail (elevated train, driverless) as a novelty. It only went a very short distance, and was more like an amusement park ride. But visitors to the city found it fun. I presume they still do.

I would take them in this situation : at the airport to get from one plane station to the next

Sure, I'd ride in a fully autonomous vehicle. It's usually the people who get in the way of the autonomous vehicle that get hurt -- not the people in them.

I would because while these drive around on their own, on complicated roads or during traffic, these are remote controlled. So there's actually someone watching it and controlling it.
