Batteries and the Dongle/receiver.
This is where I was stumped. First time I have ever used a wireless mouse. The Dongle was hidden in the battery department.
I was trying to use the mouse without the dongle being inserted into my laptop

Mine gas a receiver & just plug it into one of you USB ports and you are set to go.

I had the same issue when I got my first wireless mouse (years ago). I realized there must be a receiver but didn't find one in the box!

Figuring out wireless gadgets without instructions is a real achievement in my book. I had a similar experience the first time I bought a wireless mouse — it never occurred to me that the tiny receiver would be hidden in the battery compartment either. Just shows that persistence still wins the day, even in the world of modern technology.

I have spent the last hour trying to rotate a sideways video through youtube.
I rotated it, but when I posted the video it was still sideways. Tried 6 times, failed every time.
