I'm celebrating my new (well, refurbished) computer. It works like new and has Windows 10 on it. So far so good. I was going nuts using my phone and tv. My hand was hurting from them. Using the computer keyboard is easier on the hands imho.

:cheers1::neat:

I was wondering where you'd got to. Glad you got your laptop fixed and was it hard to go without? Must have been if you were forced to resort to your phone enough to wear your hand out:)!

Do you ever feel guilty about the amount of time you spend on the computer?

Once in a while I do, but then I remind myself that until the last couple years, I was ultra busy, getting everything done and attended to, and kids delivered to this class, that event, shirts ironed, paperwork.....well, you get the point.... and now I'm retired and I can enlarge the print on my screen so that I can still read and I like doing this and then the guilt goes away. (only to be replaced by irritation because Ziggy insists on sitting on my keyboard in the middle of a post!!!:playful:)

Debby, I never had a laptop. I got another desktop computer. No, I don't feel bad about spending lots of time online. My responsibilities are well taken care of so I have time to be online. Is Ziggy your cat? My one bird sits on my head sometimes while I'm typing at the keyboard. lol.

The thing that I hate the most about computers is learning to use one with a new system. They are never better, just different.

avatar38_1.gif...Glad you are back at it..
.
How did you use your TV ?? I would like to know..

Windows 10 is the work of Satan, but you can improve it greatly by removing its worst features. I've moved away from Windows altogether and now use Linux.
Hmmm. I'm glad you found a system you like.

I'm so happy for you Ruthanne. I'm going to have to get a new refurb soon too. Happy typing.

Thanks Chic. With tax I only paid 290.00 for it. Much cheaper than going out and getting a whole new one. So far it is behaving itself. :)

May your days online be glitch free forever more...
That's sweet Ralphy!

Happy for you. Without a computer you feel like you're on a desert island, without Giligan & the crew. What happened to your old computer?
Thanks fuzzy. My old computer went berserk a few weeks ago. It was turning itself on and off constantly, then constantly rebooting, had an old operating system and I'd had it with it.

Well you're better off having a desktop. I have both because my older laptop makes my neck ache like crazy so we had to spring for a new desktop. I use the laptop once in a while but only for short spells. I don't feel guilty at all either. I enjoy it so I use it and I figure, ;)I'm old enough that it doesn't matter what anybody says about it!

Yes, Ziggy is our cat. He's so friendly and sweet and affectionate, that when he parks himself on top of the keyboard, I just can't turn down the cuddle. He loves it so you know (and so do I:rolleyes:).

A I remember you lost one little bird recently, otherwise there'd be two on your head right? What is this little fellows name and what colour? You probably told me or I saw a photo but I just can't remember. We used to have a little olive green guy named Oliver. Loved that little bird a lot. He used to dive-bomb the dog and try to jump into our spaghetti if he was out at dinner. Loved spaghetti and I'd give him a few strands and he'd just go crazy on it and wind up with noodle mush all over his face. Very cute. Budgies are the best of the parrot family in my opinion. Huge personality in a tiny, glorious feathered package.

Danny is the one's name who was sitting on my head. He is blue gray. I got him another mate and she is white mostly with grey, black and blue markings. I just started a thread on her. She laid an egg tonight!

An egg! Did you expect that and do you have a nest box for her? In a year we'll be wondering where Ruthanne has disappeared to because all we see in your avatar is a growing heap of feathers and eggshells;)!

Hahahaha! Right now she is using her food dish and I don't want to disturb her. I have a box for her to use. No I didn't expect her to lay an egg. I'm going to call the Avian Vet and talk to them about what to do.
