Okay, some weeks ago I interviewed at BestBuy for stock work. To be honest I don't know how to turn on the TV in the living room...the remote has like twenty buttons. But reading a planogram and putting stuff where it needs to go? Yeah my cats could do that. So totally non-techy I went for the interview.
The child who interviewed me is younger than my older boy. But he was so enthusiastic and so happy to get me on his team. I had to keep a straight face. Then a few days later I got another call that the store manager wanted a second interview. Once again the joyous welcome, maybe they smoke together during lunch? What's wrong with you guys?
That was the place where I failed the drug test until they found out I had a real live prescription. But a week or two later I got a message on the machine " This is so and so from Best Buy, I wanted to talk to you about your job offer". To me that sounded like " We checked your credit and you now have no job offer". But she kept leaving messages.
I've had so many bitter experiences with big corporate. I just figured she had to tell me formally that I didn't have a job. One of the banks did that. But after hearing yet another message. I called her, she wants me to bring in ID and she'll give me a starting schedule. Do they do a credit check???????
One website says you should be proactive and ask them. If they do then you need to try to explain why your credit is lacking and that you really really really want to make it better...really! I dunno, should I just go tomorrow and not rustle up any waves? Or at least just ask? I don't know...thoughts?
