Your hair, how often to you cut or have it cut?

My hair is very fine as you can see in my avatar...so when I go to a salon and they are finished, there's not much hair on the floor...so they think they need to cut more so I'll get my money's worth I guess. Thus, I'm never happy. I just do it myself and I'm always happy! Plus I save $45 to $65 and no tips.

My hair is all one length. I wore it to my waist for decades before cutting it to my shoulders when I hit fifty. I prefer shoulder-length hair and only visit the salon twice a year to have it cut, so it grows down to the middle of my back in the interim. It would keep growing if I allowed it, but I don't want to deal with such a long length anymore. ✂️

I cut my own hair for years till I decided to go bald. I won't ever go back and shave my head twice a day. I got it down to and art form. I don't even need a mirror anymore. It's so relaxing, especially sitting on the couch taking it easy and rubbing my head.

I'm one of those old guys you see with a long ponytail.
Still like it and not concerned how others take it.
That's me right there. Even if I were to cut it all off, which I won't because Cindy liked it, I couldn't care less if anyone likes it or not. The same goes for my clothes. Back in 2000 I made a comment to Cindy that I needed to put on a pair of jeans to go out to dinner at our favorite local Italian Restaurant, and she asked me why. She said "This is California, nobody cares if you wear sweats." Since then, I don't really care even if they did. I'm covered...

I started cutting my own hair. I did finally get a pair of inexpensive hair cutting scissors at Walmart. Since my hair has some curl, it hides mistakes. I don't want to go and have someone's armpit in my face cutting my hair anymore. And I feed too many cats. Even the walk in places, with tip, cost enough.

Every four to six weeks depending on the time of year. My hair cutter does only scissor cuts. I've been going to her since 2019. Took a couple of tries to get her trained, but she now remembers how I want it cut and does a nice job.

This mirror hangs in the shower
Use the rechargeable Remington with a 3/16ths inch attachment
Clipped hair is so short it doesn't clog the drain
And no stray hair all over the place
The Remington easily comes apart and rinses out in the shower
I use it maybe once a week or every couple of weeks
Can't remember the last barber visit ... been decades

When I get into a crazy mood to grow my hair longer than 3/16ths inch, I have a Flowbee
The Flowbee hooks up to the vacuum cleaner and sucks up the hair as it cuts

I also have electric clippers and hair scissors for trimming up the edges and beard and stache when necessary

Usually every 6 weeks but with several hospital and dental appointments in recent times haven't been able to stick to that schedule. However, no appointments this week so am finally getting hair cut this morning. Long overdue! She comes to my house, which I prefer, as I hate going to hair dressing salons or beauty parlours. She's been my hairdresser for over 20 years now and Ive always been happy with the way she cuts it. ✂️

After getting a really bad haircut 40 years ago, I decided no more barbers. I started experimenting with trimming just a bit until confident enough to do a full haircut, and have continued cutting my own hair ever since. I don't like the look of a brand new haircut, so I just trim it as needed it every few days.

I cut mine in 1995 then shaved off the remaining stubble. My wife wanted to see what I would look like bald. Upkeep of being bald I haven't thought about. I found out that using an after shave like Fahrenheit cologne can be costly with so much area to cover.
