Your hair, how often to you cut or have it cut?

My hair and I have a love-hate relationship. I have stick-straight hair from my ears forward, slightly wavy hair behind my ears and the lower half of the back of my head. I get it cut whenever I hate it. Which is about once every fourth month, a trim. Is shoulder length now as I just cut off about a foot when it got to the point I was avoiding washing it due to the time it takes to do it when it is really long.

My wife gives me a buzz cut about every 2 months. I have a full head of hair & hate it when it sticks out over my ears. Never been vane about my hair. My mother wouldn't let me buzz my father's before he passed.

I owned a Flowbee (pd $30 used / sold for $50) for years and liked that I could cut my own with it. Gave it to my DD in AZ, she sold it at her yard sale without my approval. Was going to buy a new one but my wife balked at the idea, she liked the clippers just as well.

My hair's maximum growth is about mid-back, I'm amazed that Dusty and Patty can still grow hair so long!

I cut my own just below the shoulder, hubs cuts it "straight" across the back. He has a slight astigmatism that gives it a bit of a slant, but I don't care. Like Pendle I have enough curl to cover up mistakes.

I have a fear of shampoo sinks with that hard edge cutting into the back of the neck. My healthy mother came home from having her hair done and had a fatal stroke the next morning.
Excatly why I don't get my hair washed at salon. BTW same thing with my mother..she was very healthy!

I cut my husband's hair with clippers every 2 months. I tend to wait too long in between hair cuts for myself. I'm usually desperate after I have butchered my hair a few times trimming the ends.
I used to clip my husbands hair every couple of months but now he shaves his entire head every day. He uses a 5 blade razor. It really suites him to.
