Yes, many places, and one accompanied with a song. Sitting on Solsbury Hill, an Iron Age hill fort looking over the City of Bath, Somerset, England. Whether that be at night looking over the city lights, or on a sunny afternoon, or in the early morning with the mist covering the city. Either way, I don't mind.

And the accompanying song? Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabrial. Witten after he left Genisis and moved near to the City of Bath. He received a "spiritual awakening" when he walked up Solsbury Hill, then he wrote a song.

P1160622.JPGOur daughter's cottage in Maine, right on the lake. Until the last couple of years, we would spend 3 or 4 months (spring and fall) here and the kids would take over during the summer months (both educators with summers off). It was an answer to some of our retirement years (22 of them)

The last few years as we approach 90, the drive and remoteness has kept us away, except for short visits when one of our kids drive up with us for a few days.

My dream escape would be two weeks on Ibiza.
If only to sit at the Cafe del Mar, watch the sunset and goof on the crowd.
Then I'd be ready for secluded and quiet again ... or a move to Ibiza.

Sitting back and taking a photo of my feet, for some reason? After seeing some photos a few years earlier, then a documentary about the place, decided I needed to be there. Things seem to get to me like that.

A friend taking a photo of me while I was taking a photo of the view. Some may already know that this was when I was going through my Indiana Jones Phase. I spent two days there, going up by bus each morning and spending the entire day exploring. On the second day, I even reached there before sunrise
