Some of you are world travelers...like my Dad and his partner. Almost out of countries they haven't seen once or twice. Then me and hubby didn't plan retirement so well and too many kids. We didn't do a lot of traveling. But what was the trip that stands out?
For me it was our honeymoon. We ate our way through New Orleans. Of course we enjoyed much else as well <<<wink, wink>>> But the food and sight-seeing there was nothing like it. At the time hubby was a big fan of Paul Prudhomme. We got to meet him and his wife Kay, my husband all but kissed his feet.
Breakfast at Brennan's, snacks at the Café Du Monde, two dinners at K Paul's, an oyster po' boy that gave me agida but was delicious nonetheless. Sightseeing the French Quarter and all the funky little shops. I'd still like to go back someday and bring home a new baby from Villa Lobos.
So how about you??? What was your best vacation ever?
