How did you choose your username?

Pleinmont is a place in Guernsey, which is one of the Channel Islands, where I was born. My husband proposed to me there in 1968, whilst we were sitting on a bench overlooking the sea. We were married the following year, he was 22 and I was 19.

My user name, raybar, is old nickname from about seventh of eighth garde, and is based on my real name. "ray" is part of my first name, Raymond. "bar" is part of my last name, which is either bar... or ...bar... or ...bar.

About 20 years ago I joined an RV forum, no matter what I used for a username it was taken, so Bill ( husband) came up with mine , he figured we would be traveling the next 20 years so it was fitting! Lol

Pinky is a nickname from when I was around 3, from my paternal grandfather. I was called Max through my teen years as a shortening of my surname.

It's a long story, but Capt. Lightning was a spoof superhero. "Lightning" was also the code name for a computer disk and I installed the manufacturing software for it at our plant in England.

A real good friend of mine who has since passed gave it to me. He chuckled every time he was over our house and said "all I see is squatting dogs". After that, he called me that when ever he saw me. It stuck.
