For shoots sake!!! I thought I would try putting zucchini at the bottom of the driveway with a free-help yourself sign. This morning I checked the box AND THERE WAS MORE ZUCCHINI THAN I PUT IN THERE TO BEGIN WITH. Come on folks, this isn't how this is supposed to work!!!"

Isn't that almost malicious!

I suppose you could turn it into zucchini bread and maybe it would go then. LOL

Speaking of squash~ we've got a few of these mystery vegetables growing on our squash vines this year:
Mystery Veggie 1.jpeg
It seems to be a squash. A friend took one home and cooked it. It's like a spaghetti squash inside. We didn't plant whatever this is. The friend said it was delicious. It's about 11-12 inches long. {No, it DIDN'T come from China seeds}
This is our first year planting spaghetti squash {the yellow kind} and they are so easy to grow. We substitute the squash for pasta, since I'm on a low carb diet. Cherry tomatoes are easy to grow, too.
I need to make some salsa.

Zucchini has the ability to self-propagate. Well-known fact.

Same here, I've got more courgettes than I know what to do with - ordinary ones and ball courgettes (I believe they may be called 8 ball in the USA) . They're delicious fried in butter.

My son grows the 8 ball squash (and just about every other veggie) and makes a cheese stuffed thing out of them that they swear are "bomb". He said he would save me some but they eat them too fast. He`s growing eggplant for me but darn,are they ever slow growing.....

I make a most delicious coconut milk stir-fry using zucchini!

Utterly mouth-watering!

Also make a recipe where I slice zucchini and onion and layer in a pan (several layers thick when done), top with 4-cheese, season with a little fresh-ground black pepper, and when cooked, serve with fresh homemade garlic marinara sauce. Oh my...

Oh,those both sound delicious.My mom used to make zucchini in tomato sauce and I loved it but mine is never as good. My grandkids love it though and make it all the time. My daughter hardly ever has to cook anymore-the boys do all the cooking.

For me there's something about being able to turn-out a meal using fresh-grown garden goodness.

Nothing compares flavour or taste wise.
