A tip from an old (as in long term as well as ancient) - politics is something that has been banned by the owner because it leads to heated arguments. If a discussion leads to hot debate inevitably someone will complain and the thread will be shut down. Best not to keep hammering a point if it can be construed as political.

This is a very big forum and the members are many and varied in their opinions. Some of those opinions are obnoxious to me and my opinions are not universally appreciated either. Live and let live could be translated as post and let post.

The only rules that apply to this forum are about getting along with each other and not doing damage to the forum. Matrix is the owner and we are guests, and he hopes we will be civil to each other. He has probably set out a few rules somewhere but I very much doubt one of them is that we must all remain relevant to the topic as described in the headline. 1/2
