Yes, spelled it wrong..lolIsn't it actually Gabapentin?
Good for you :sentimental:A friend took it for years for PN and had nausea and dizziness issues, she finally got on Grape Seed Extract and got rid of the drug. She got the PN from other drugs, namely statins... It's a vicious cycle with drugs...they got you coming and going.
I ended up with PN from surgery issues and would never go with the pharma drug...but many and I take it off Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA). I'm taking it now. Works pretty good and not a side effect.
BTW: Thanks to grape seed extract I've never had the fog issue and I'm headed into 25 yrs on it.
I wanted the opinions here, too, as I also value the opinions online; I have spoken to 2 of my doctors about it. Both prescribed it for me at various points. Thanks for your comment RR. :sentimental:It's used for seizures, mild pain, restless leg syndrome as far as I know. Ask your doctor.
Yes, many with diabetic neuropathy take it for nerve pain but it doesn't help everyone from what I have heard and read.I don’t take it but I do know many people that do...mainly for nerve pain.
Yes, it does help nerve pain for a lot of people. I have some in my ankle and from my neck and the G helps that, too.My moma takes it, for nerve pain in her back.
She says it helps a lot.
Did it help the ct?I took it for a while during a particularly bad bout of carpal tunnel.
I'm glad you didn't have any bad side effects and it helps cut the edge for you. I, too, have peripheral neuropathy but it hasn't been as bad as yours as I don't have pain from that yet. I haven't had bad side effects either, actually none.I've been on it for 3 years for peripheral neuropathy. Depending on the severity, i take 2-4 a day. It's not been a miracle drug but i think it helps. No bad side effects for me.
Did it help?I took it when I had shingles.
Did it help?
That makes sense, been there, too..Honestly, I don't know. I was scared not to take it. I was still miserable, but I didn't want to risk being MORE miserable.

yes, I have used it as it is good for some of my conditions. only problem i have with it now is i cannot afford it. what do you say it helps with? i saw better blood flow but how is that important? perhaps with inflammation..?A 'non-drug' that seems to help....is ALA [Alpha-Lipoic-Acid] Helps with better blood flow.
