That could be how it all started, Wilma Flintstone threw a rock at Fred. lol No country would ever launch a hydrogen bomb against another country because they know they will be the recipient of the ''Mother Of All Bombs.'' Unless there is a deranged person with his finger on the red button. I once read about the procedure to launch a hydrogen bomb against an enemy. Hell the war would be over while they are reading the instruction on how to do it...:yoda:

I thought this is a very dark thread. I do have the feeling we are living in borrowed time- maybe not for us seniors, but definitely for our children. I guess I trust human avarice and greed over human ability to live with out warfare.

No. There will not be a WWIII as we've known war. This is all a conspiracy to control and scare people into submission and compliance. Fearmongering. I'd get behind those who offer viable solutions to real problems rather than become alarmed at the rantings of saber rattlers. Fearing that they cannot control the thoughts and emotions and actions of the population is THEIR biggest fear. Don't be fooled by them.

Look to our leaders. Regardless of what country, a limited war is the best guarantee for a leader to stay in power. Most nations "rally 'round the flag" during times of conflict and rarely choose to depose their leaders during that time. This is always an added fear when considering the reasons why a country might initiate or let itself be drawn into (limited) war. I say "limited" because even a driven leader doesn't want to bring down his kingdom around him.

Information on the internet has the U.S. with over 4000 hydrogen bombs, 1,400 are deployed. That should do the job and do everyone in except the meek. Ancient history (before recorded history) is interesting and as archaeologist just keep digging and finding the unexplained, one of interest is areas on Earth that have reported scientific evidence of nuclear devastation. I ani't gonna worry about it! :yoda:
 
It seems mankind has always warred against each other. We've got a few blank spaces but look at US history and wars. Other countries have also been apt to follow their arguements with a war against someone. This compounds and builds up resentment, thus causing an attack. Causes have been conquest, retaliatory strikes and political adventures. We may not call them war but like an old TV show, "have guns, will travel." As for WW111, I hope not.
 
Possible, but not inevitable.

We didn't erupt into WW3 during the Cold War, the Cuban missile crisis, or after 9/11. We can continue to hope that it will never happen.
 
With the doctrine of "Mutually Assured Destruction" (MAD) understood and accepted by most (although not all) nations, I regard a WWIII not as inevitable but rather as distinctly possible. It's the loose cannons that we have to worry about igniting something larger, the terrorists, extremists, and lunatic fringes.

We're being invaded already...haven't you noticed, except this is not a military invasion, we have opened the doors and let them in. Done by those idealists who haven't stopped to consider the consequences of their actions.
 
Totally don't know but if we go by religion than yes it will WW111 and soon.
Either somebody is following directions to the T or some serious prophecy is coming to pass.
