Well, I have always been a believer in the goodness of human beings, and I really think that most of us are caring people. However, sort of like the proverbial sore thumb, the ones that use people like this , stand out and give everyone else a bad name. Look at the reactions of all of us on here; we totally agree that this is deplorable and that the person that did it should have to pay for it , one way or another. Why some people have this integrity, and caring heart for other people (and animals) , and some seem to be heartless and only looking out for themself, is a question that has always been pondered by people the world over.
Religion is not the answer, much of the most horrible abuse of people has been carried out by religious zealots. Education and money is not the answer either, because this uncaring attitude is found in both rich and poor people, educated and illiterate.
The answer is found in a persons character, his heart, and his attitude, and it is a part of us for our lifetime, regardless of external circumstances.
And, as for animals, these characteristics exist in animals also. Horses, for example. They can tell if a rider is a beginner, and if they are insecure, and different horses respond differently. A "babysitter horse" will say to itself that this person doesn't know what they are doing, and they will calmly pussyfoot down the trail with them, never once shying or speeding up. The "take advantage" type of horse, will immediately think to himself that he can now do whatever he wants because this rider doesn't know how to control a horse, and he is apt to turn around and gallop home with the hapless rider hanging on for dear life and screaming bloody murder.
It is too bad that the world is full of selfish scammers like these women, but, it is, and all we can do is watch out for ourselves, and try not to be taken in by them.
