I have met someone and he is very encouraging and respectful. We are both lonely and are glad we found each other. Currently we are only interested in friendship and to be there for each other. What are you view points on the subject?

hi fc -- you did not say how long u have known him ? strange when u meet a nice person everything goes out the window so to speak '
having friendship is just fine especially if its agreeable by both from the start ; you say u was lonely which could be a worry 'being lonely
without male company could make u want to rush in -iam not saying dont - but let things happen -no rush is there get to know him
and him u ,we all have little traits that can be annoying so get to know all about him fanciecoffee -and be happy most of all be aware .

I think it's a good idea! I'm a widow also and would love to meet someone that would be interested in a friendship. Just someone to go out and do things with occasionally.

My wife and I graduated high school in the same school and class but didn't know each other. We were married 3 years ago when both of us were 62. Love has no age restrictions.

I agree here ... I don't believe in all the warm & fuzzy stuff, so i won't go there...But I do believe in pursuing all the happiness / what makes us happy that we can ......... so long as it's legal ....

No, I am in NO hurry. I got to know a person for 3 years and said no. So, I am in no hurry, get to know myself and him very well for a long time! Thank you so much for the advice, already there.

So true. I do like this man, and he is very encouraging and respecting. But, I take it slow. Get to know him and be there for him, and handle every episode with love and understanding.

Thank you. I do love having my privacy and no one to do for, but on the other hand, I do want to share, care and have someone in my life that will care for and encourage and respect me. So far, all is great.
