Maybe. But many years ago, when I was a mod on a pet forum, we could ban just the User name, or BOTH the username and the ISP. Not sure if it is still that way.

It means you have a thread of decency left in you. that not all people are out to use and abuse you. Some people pride themselves on trusting no one and being highly sceptical. Even me sometimes.
