"I Think I'll Wait Until Tomorrow To Find Out Why I Don't Feel Well"

A couple days ago despite my niece pleading with her mom to go the hospital now and telling her she wants to call an ambulance my sister-in-law agreed to go to the hospital the next day if she still felt bad. A few hours later my niece discovered her mom dead on the floor. So just saying don't gamble with your life when you are a senior. Something like a chest pain in our older age is not the same a when we were younger. Not sure what the cause of death was at this writing but most likely she could have been alive today if she had listened to her daughter. She was 73.

Condolences on your family's loss, FM. This must be a particularly bitter pill given that your niece could read the writing on the wall but her mother wouldn't agree to an ambulance.

Thank you for the reminder to not only take symptoms seriously, but to also listen to family members' assessments. Oftentimes we look sicker than we feel, and someone who knows us well can pick up on that.

Sorry for your loss, but ultimately it was her call.

Condolences on your family loss.. this must be very difficult for you all.:( ..but yes you're absolutely right we are all a bit guilty of leaving things for too long..

May your sister-in-law R.I.P

Sorry for your loss, but keep something in mind. Even if she had gone to the hospital immediately, that doesn't mean they would have saved her. We are conditioned & programmed to believe doctors can save anybody, even though we should know better.

Just spoke with my other niece and she told me her mom was under a great deal of stress lately over some family matters. It is to be noted how the body can react to issues of emotion versus physical issues. We say good bye Friday and life will go on.
