My steady from sophomore through the end of high school word my regular ring wrapped in angora. I also bought her a charm bracelet and added charms on special days & occasions.
His fraternity pin. It was a precursor to getting engaged and was called being "pinned." Sort of the same thing as going steady.
Having also grown up on the southside I am curious what is the definition of a "known guy"?Nothing. That wasn't a big deal on Chicago's South Side. Also, any jewelry would have drawn the attention of the gang bangers. I was a known guy. Nobody messed with my women, although one SOB used to delight in cozying up to my Sophomore year gal, she was a Senior, when she stood in front of the bandstand, as I performed. I always wanted to kick his ass, but he was physically challenged, so I laid off. (You're lucky, Scott!)
Ditto for me, we must have gone to the same school! My steady from sophomore through the end of high school word my regular ring wrapped in angora. I also bought her a charm bracelet and added charms on special days & occasions.
Lol! If I remember correctly, you're the guy who incorrectly named a major landmark in my present town, and confused a Nashville attraction, to boot, as you claimed to have hung there, too. Where, exactly, did you grow up, on the "South Side?"Having also grown up on the southside I am curious what is the definition of a "known guy"?
His class ring wrapped in angora yarn to match whatever I had on that day. I carried a folding toothbrush to fluff the angora up all day.
How did the world know about angora for rings when there was no internet/social media???!!!Ditto for me, we must have gone to the same school!
