A Georgia family found an owl hiding in their Christmas tree

A Georgia family got a special holiday surprise last week after finding an owl hiding inside their Christmas tree.
The discovery came last Thursday evening when Katie McBride Newman and her two children, India and Jack, were finishing dinner.

What a nice story. I felt bad for it at first being hungry, but it all turned out well.

I wish I had one hanging around here.

I'm glad the family did everything right and the bird was okay. I wonder if the bird had been in the tree when the tree was cut down.

Very likely ? Unless it landed in the tree while it was on top the family car on the way home ?

My dad rescued a bird once, a wounded Pelican. When he brought her home from the Vet, she just never left. She followed him everywhere, he bought her chicken parts at the butcher.......Her name was Penelope , [Penelope-Pelican]...... :)

For some strange reason, I believe I heard about finding owls in Xmas trees before??? There is an owl, which lives in a tree near my bedroom. I've never seen it, but I've heard it. It whoos all night long. By the way, most of the trees around me are evergreen Xmas trees.
