Almost every commercial gets on my nerves, but there are a few that make me upset. If I see a commercial about a child having cancer or an adult having cancer,I get very upset. With all the technology we have today the only reason we haven't found a cure is because the pharmacy companies would lose money. Years ago without the technology of today they found a way to prevent Polio and other conditions. Why now do people have to suffer so much. It makes me so upset.

Almost All commercials are irritating, to me....especially when I think of the costs of those commercials being added to that companies prices. The consumer ultimately winds up paying for this "hype" when they go to the store, etc. If I had to select the Worst commercial, it would probably be these ASPCA commercials where they drone on for several minutes showing endless pictures of abused dogs and cats. If this "charity" spent most of their money on animal care, instead of commercials, those abused animals would be far better cared for. We support our local animal care facility....there are "city" people who drive out to the boondocks and abandon their unwanted pets, so we try to help them out, but I will Never send a penny to a charity that spends much of its money on TV commercials.

The ones I hate the most are what @Don M. spoke about, I agree with him 100%. Also the ones about starving people in Africa, they show this small boy who is a skeleton and crying being held by a bored woman with fat arms, he must have died a long time ago. They show them usually around December. The ones about St Jude make me sad even though they claim to help those kids, but like Don said, they could be using the TV ad money to help those kids instead. I am suspicious of any business or charity that advertises often on TV, those commercials are EXPENSIVE.

I agree with what has already been mentioned but also feel ads for personal items should only be shown at certain times, it seems every time I sit down for a meal I’m faced with a woman brushing her teeth with a close up of her spitting blood in the sink, a group of women openly telling the world they pee when they laugh, constipation remedies, or being asked if I’ve notice blood in my poo (their words, not mine).....and another ad for ladies I’m not even going to mention....

Is nothing sacred any more !!

How about the ad with a man sitting on a chair and this black thick liquid starts filling up the room and engulfing him? I have to look away before he drowns, and I still don't know what the commercial is about.

Ditto. I HATE these long extended commercials that they deliberately put on where you cannot help but feel horrified and they will play them over & over in between the best movies. What schmucks.

My thoughts exactly Don. Why not put all the money they put into these commercials into helping these poor abused animals instead of abusing humans by torturing them with guilt. It’s horrible.

I’d never offer to sponsor something so crass and manipulative. It’s horrible. .

The animal commercials bother me and also the commercials from the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

From everything I've read the IFCJ is a great organization that uses a high percentage of the funds collected for its mission but it bothers me that the governments/citizens/families/taxpayers are not able to take a more active role in improving the lives of their own people. It seems like the divide between the haves and the have-nots around the world is growing every year.

My gripes pretty much follow what has been said. As for the ***** enlarger/hardener........I don't need lead in my pencil, I have no one to write too.... ;)

I can't stand the donate to the religious , all the money the church takes in....and the way in which the priest retire ?! And they don't have enough for the Nuns to retire nicely as well ???

I don't know if this is what @Aunt Bea was referring to. I also hate the one about the elderly women crying and alone in cold and decrepit rooms in Russia waiting for the woman delivering food to them. You would think they could move them to better housing together and it would be more efficient and cheaper to cater to them that way. The whole commercial is so depressing, and obviously meant to be depressing to tug at our wallets.

I don't have cable or local TV. Streaming YouTube is my go-to. Fortunately, the one or two commercials offered at the beginning are able to be blocked.

There are many other streaming channels available on my Roku, but most do have a few ads. I just do something else if they are on something I want to watch.

Premium channels like Netflix and Amazon Prime have no commercials.

Yes, to all the above...
I find the Holocaust Survivors, ASPCA...any preacher type that appears on a regular basis (direct TV has 7 or 8, on 24 hours a day.
and all the above post are disgusting.

The worst are bald headed children, whether it be from starvation or cancer...
All, All! are in very poor taste, think you for attempting to disturb
