Would you want to live to the age of 100?

A resounding NO!! Even if i was in reasonable physical and mental health. The world has changed dramatically and imo not for the good in many ways. I do not look forward to the future and maybe a misery-guts...wellso be it.
 

Most of my family has lived into their 90s +, Oldest was my Great Grandmother at 104.... and she was the only one in a nursing home.
A few at Hospice, But majority were home and living at life up to the last moment...
The last 4 generations 1st born have 5 generation pictures.... My grandson just turned 8 so I must make it 10 years at least.
 
A friend of mine's mother lived to 100 years/4 months. He said she was fine up to about 95-96....then her mind just slipped away. He said in her entire life she took one aspirin . Never went to the doc, or complained of anything.

I'd like to last as long as I am able to have independence and/or I'm not a burden, then as has been said, I hope I go in my sleep.
 
I say NO, because I would never want to go on and be dependent on others. If I couldn't take care of myself and my own affairs, life would be sucked out of me anyway.
 
My great grandmother lived to be over 100. When my mom was 84, I mentioned that she might live to be over a100, too. ( She died at 91.) She said, "Oh God! I hope not." Now that I'm aging ( 73), I don't really know why, but I'm not looking forward to 100. And the last thing I would want is to be the "oldest" person in the home, in the State, country, etc.

No, no, no, not never at all, that's a horrible age........perhaps 347, now that sounds like a nice number.:LOL:
 
I always remember George Burns. He always said he was going to live to 100. Born 1/20/1896 and died 3/9/1996.

I've already surpassed the ages my parents died. As medical issues present themselves, I don't think I'd want to live to be that old. I know my daughter would take care of me, but I wouldn't want to be a burden on her .. nor do I think I'd like to live in a care facility. Maybe fatalistic thinking on my part, but, even though I'm the youngest of 3 sisters, I think I'll go first.

He smoke his cigars and had his daily shot of whiskey. Don't tell me whiskey doesn't have it benefits...🤣
 
I passed mom passed away in 2000 at 71, I'm still here....My dad passed away at 89 years old....
If I'm really I'll at an old age, I probably would not want to live ….Oh, I am old...LOL!!!!!
