What's the most romantic, not sexual, ROMANTIC experience you've had or the most romantic thing your sweetie has ever done for you?
She waited for me.....What's the most romantic, not sexual, ROMANTIC experience you've had or the most romantic thing your sweetie has ever done for you?
Same here. There’s no huge romantic moment but many smaller ones and I couldn’t pick just one.
He cares & looks after me. That’s romantic.
Like Tom Hanks & Helen Hunt:I hope it's not creepy to talk about my late husband, because there has been no one since. Our ranch was 20 miles from town and we were driving along. He stopped and got out. Never questioned his actions, so I just waited. I saw him walk about 100 feet out into the field. He came back with his arms full of beautiful blue Flax flowers, (my favorite). I was blown away.
Another time, down here in the desert, we had 3 years of draught. One afternoon ,the sky thundered up and we had a deluge of rain. I was so happy, I ran outside and started dancing around. He saw me and ran out after me, grabbed me and we waltzed around all over the yard in the rain, laughing so hard! That was so romantic!
You did the right thing! Your hubby may not be the most romantic but I'll bet he's practical and dependable. His other wonderful qualities are a lot more important! Huh!My hubby is one of the most unromantic man I have ever met. He has many wonderful qualities that's just not one of them. I could tell you about my x boyfriend. Now he was romantic. For Christmas he gave me the twelve days of Christmas.all individually wrapped and very meaningfull to our relationship. I was told to open one each day. It was all very nice but my hubby won out. When I broke up with him I cried but I knew he wasn't the one.
Why would it be creepy to talk about your husband? Those of us who are widows have done so in other threads. Both stories were romantic but the rain one reminds me of something I'd see in a romantic movie.I hope it's not creepy to talk about my late husband, because there has been no one since. I think that you honor him, and I personally found this post to be very uplifting.I hope it's not creepy to talk about my late husband, because there has been no one since. There are so many sub categories to "Romantic Experience" that the engineer in me feels tempted to make a diagram, (which would be very unromantic).
The most romantic moment: Having dinner in Hawaii watching a beautiful sunset. Great food, great wine, great view and a beautiful woman with a big heart, what could be more romantic than that? I also have a thing about listening to soft rainfall while snuggled in a warm blanket with a couple of glasses of good wine. That always creates a romantic moment. Glowing embers in a fireplace adds to the effect.
Most romantic event: I met my wife while I was stationed in Hawaii and she was there on a trip from Texas. After spending virtually all of my time with her while she was there, she had to return to Dallas. I realized that I could not stand the idea of not spending the rest of my life with her, so I bought a ticket to Dallas and spent another romantic week with her. Shortly after I returned to my station in Hawaii, I proposed and she accepted. It was the best decision we ever made, and that was 35 years ago.
Most romantic vacation: Tuscany, no question about it.
The most romantic thing you can do for your lover is to be there and support them when they really need you. When my wife had a complex eye surgery, I got up every two hours every night for four weeks to put a special salve on the stitches. This continued during the daylight hours for four weeks. When I had surgery and had to spend time in the hospital, she was there until I fell asleep every night and returned every morning to keep me company.
And it is very romantic when a person fully contributes to the household by reliably doing their chores and carrying their load. I marvel at how hard working my wife is and how she has helped me while I recover from the after-effects of prostrate cancer treatment.
It is very romantic when affectionate people can really count on each other.
