My daughter's nearest neighbour on the mountain where she lives in Spain is 99 years old, and every day he walks over the mountain for 5 km to the bar at the nearest tiny village for a drink , and walks back again, even in the height of summer. He'll occasionally accept a lift from a passing truck, but mostly he walks.... ...There is a guy on my estate who is 100.Fully fit and active.People who do not know he is 100 don’t believe it!
I completely agree! Whether you would want to keep living would depend on how well you feel at that age. Some of those centenarians look great for their age, while others look like shrunken zombies (and probably feel like one).Depends on where you're standing when you think about it. I'd imagine one's view could be quite different when viewed from ,say, age 65 than age 95, assuming you were in relatively good health at both ages.
Like walking up to the edge of a cliff. You don't worry much about falling over 'til you get near the edge.
God Bless...One great example of aging amazingly well is Trump's honoree at the State of the Union on Tuesday. Brigadier General Charles McGee is allof 100 years old! And he looks great and much younger, still gets around on his own.

God Bless.....You probably will have your Mom/s family to live a long life....I'm sorry Peppermint that your Mom passed away at only 71yrs old. My Dad passed away when he was 79yrs old and my Mom was 90 when she passed. My Mom came from a large family and one sister passed at 100yrs old and one at 101yrs old. The last one remaining is in her middle 90's.
