Elastic-waisted pants... love 'em or hate 'em?

Holding hand up high... LOVE 'EM!

Sure, I've been teased about them in my day, me wearing "mommy pants" and all, same for my love of granny panties, but no amount of teasing and ribbing swayed me from embracing elastic-waisted pants!

Easy on-off, no fussing around with buttons, zippers, or snaps, and for bigger girls like me, nothing fits better or is more comfortable than a quality pair of elastic-waisted pants!

I agree. Can't do zippers anymore without using a belt too & I don't have a comfortable belt. I have 2 uncomfortable belts, so I use those, but don't need it with stretch waist.
That a girl, Pepper! :)

Don't know how I lasted as long as I did wearing snap, zipper, and button pants. The cutting, the binding, forget it. I'll take a pair of elastic-waisted pants any day over the alternative!

I only buy elastic waisted. They always fit if I gain or lose weight. My problem with traditional slacks is if I get them to fit in length and around the hips, the waist is way too small. If I get them to fit around the waist, the crotch is down between my knees. My mom told me I was shaped like an oatmeal box - I call it a perfect figure - 46, 46, 46.

Thing of beauty, Deb! I absolutely, 100% agree!

The few months of the year that I wear pants they tend to be jeans, so yes to zippers and buttons. Never, ever been one to tuck shirts in or wear a belt. I like the look on others but not on me. Same with scarves. Can't carry them off.

Some of my dressier pants are elastic waist, which I'm ok with. Much easier for bathroom trips.

I find the camps run strong on this one, there is no in-between. :)

Bending, moving, stretching... just LOVE the comfort of an elasticized waist!

I love them! All but 2 pairs of my capris are elastic wasted. I don't like fussing with zippers and buttons either! ;) Like Deb, it's hard to find pants or capris that fit right, as I am a larger woman also.

ROFLMAO!

Me too Deb. Not in the "46" category, but I'm built more like an apple than a pear. Which means that any pants that fit around my waist are going to be WAY too big around the hips. Getting the elastic-waisted kind gives me a little more leeway.

Another problem I have with pants is that most of the more "stylish" ones for women have no pockets. Why is that? Pockets are so convenient!

LOL! I struggle with similar woes as you, Sunny.

Pants that fit my waist are nowhere near big enough to fit my butt or hips, and pants that fit my butt, legs, and hips, are MILES too roomy in the waist, but elasticized pants solve all woes for me.

And yes, I love pockets, too!
