For Pecos...Women who deserve more recognition...

In the mood I am in today in my opinion any married women who puts up with a Nutty know it all husband deserves a great deal of recognition.

I like your style Phoenix I agree 👍
Thanks. I'm an author, so I think a lot about what makes us tick and then write stories about it.
He means Mary, not the singer
Oh, thanks for there clarification. There are statues of Mary.

One of the things I'm thinking is that I get very tired of the immaturity of others, so staying away from them during a pandemic is a good thing. I much prefer the company of the deer and wild turkeys who live around here. When the deer give me lip, they are taking grain from my hand. It's so cool. In the past on this site when I admitted to that, someone lit into me. We take all the land from the wild animals, which is the only place they can live and then we are not supposed to help them? Wrong.

I'll add that you are a very good author with some very interesting characters.

I’m sure that RBG would fit in here under “women who deserve more recognition.I read in today’s paper that the state of New York will honor her with a statue in Brooklyn, which was her place of birth and growing up years. Justice Ginsburg dedicated her entire life to the practice of law serving in many different capacities before reaching the U.S. Supreme Court, to which she was appointed by then President Clinton in1993 after serving 13 years as an Associate Justice for the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

According to Wikipedia, she was considered to belong to the liberal wing of the Court. In her early years, she fought many battles before the Supreme Court for gender equality and women’s rights winning most of her arguments. She was well respected by the other eight Justices. It was no secret that her and Justice Scalia had a true professional friendship that was developed through and by the discussion of law.

The real bottom line here is that RBG dedicated her entire life to law and especially balancing the scale of justice for all equally. She was a true defender of the Constitution.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg accomplished so much. She was dedicated to doing what she thought was right as well as legal under the constitution. She had a brilliant mind, and she opened the doors for many women as well as minorities. If all people were of equal conscience the world would have no disparity. In my opinion she stands with MLK in terms of working for justice. Once she graduated law school in the top of her class, no law firm would hire her because she was a woman. I know how that feels. I was turned down for jobs for that reason, and they told me so. She spent her life working so that those who came after her would not face that kind of bigotry. As a human being she was at the top. I honor her.
