It looked good in the picture but pictures are deceiving, so are sizes. Did you return it or live with it? Or maybe make a gift of it ;)

Yes I have been Disappointed with online purchases before.

I have sometimes sent them back and sometimes I kept them because I didn't want to pay the postage. Then I found out that I would not have to pay the postage with Amazon purchases and I send things back more often now.

Tons of times. Sometimes I have returned them and sometimes not. I used to have an eBay store so a lot of things I bought that was the wrong size I could sell there. Now I have sent stuff back more often. Some sellers on Amazon and eBay will tell you to throw it away and they still refund your money.

I hate when Amazon sends a substitute, such as body lotion instead of body wash. Okay, it could be an honest human error, but it's a hassle having to send it back. When that happened, I contacted them to say I will keep the product sent in error, but will not order from them again. Lo and behold .. they sent the product I had ordered originally, without charge.

Only once. I odered what I thought was a light weight sweatshirt, but it turned out to be more of a heavier weight tee shirt. Usually I will return things, but for some reason...lazy probably... I kept this one and still haven’t worn it. Hmmm, maybe I’ll pull it out and wear it today!!! Thanks for the reminder😂 One surprise I had with on line ordering was with a large canvas from art.com or somewhere like that. I had ordered several and loved them all except the largest one. It was darker than I thought it would be. So I repackaged it to return, called the company to confirm how to return it. They asked me to take a picture of it and email it to them. I did, and they told me to just keep it and they would refund the money! So I did, and they did, and I had it packaged up for months wondering what to do with it. I recently redid our bedroom and needed something to hang over a small dresser. Remembered the canvas, hung it, and it was the absolute perfect thing...color wise, size was...it was perfect! And free! (which I feel a tad guilty about...but hey, it was their idea to keep it, not mine. So happy day for me😍

Sure, but to be honest I've been disappointed with numerous in-person purchases. I was hesitant to buy clothes or footwear online but have been satisfied with such purchases, the last several years.

Yes and I should have sent it back. It was the quick thermometer from Amazon. They said I had to take videos to prove how it worked. It read low. No way was I sending a video to them. I guess I could have just said no and insisted they take it back. I was a novice shopper. Guess I still am.

When I was a runner I loved the Brooks Chariot running shoe, so when I found the same shoe on the Brooks website I ordered. They looked to be exactly the same but did not feel the same. The problem? My feet are not the same as 30-40 years ago. I kept them but probably should not have.

I do a lot of shopping on Amazon. I have been using them for years and have only had a problem one time. I ordered a Brown recliner for my living room. Instead, they sent a Grey one. I couldn't send it back because they had left it outside in the rain. The box was ruined and so was the chair. They immediately sent me a refund and I threw the recliner away. I had sent them pictures of the chair and the box it came in.

Normally not often. Here lately the shoes I've been ordering have been awful. Like not even wearable. I don't send them back cuz it's just more expense.

I ordered a pair of jeans on line. Too big but I stipulated size. Hassle to send back. Now I'm wondering if washing
them in hot water would shrink them any like it used to.

I am very fortunate to live in a fairly large metropolitan area, so that I can get what I need locally much of the time. The things we do purchase online are well known enough that we know what we are getting, and that is what shows up.

What seems odd to me is buying expensive guitars online. As I have seen in the acoustic guitar forum, often the instrument turns out to not be to the person's liking. Some things, you just need to try before you buy. In the case of a guitar that costs several thousand dollars, it would be worthwhile to take a day trip or a few days' vacation to go check it out, and that is often given as advice in that forum.

Many items, such as a well known brand of TV or appliances, books, etc., should be safe to purchase online and have delivered. Since the start of COVID-19, our condo lobby is flowing with packages being delivered. The issue we have is trying to get folks to watch for their packages and pick them up promptly to leave room for new packages arriving. I hope all those packages contain what the customer actually wanted. :)

I have had some problems with automotive parts( antique) that I purchased from Amazon. There were not the parts advertised in one case and for the wrong vehicle in another. I contacted Amazon and talked with a customer service rep. There was no problem, but I always shop for free returns and free shipping. The parts were sent back and a full refund was provided. But being a restoration, it was not imperative that I get the parts immediately either. Free shipping and Free returns has saved me on a couple different occasions.

My son purchased a bike on line from a non Amazon company and had a great deal of difficulty with them, never received the bike but he eventually did get his money back. You have to really research the seller, the reviews and your own good conscious about some sellers. If you have second thoughts or it appears to be too good to be true.....probably is.

There have been a couple times I've bought books I was really interested in on Amazon.I would read the different reviews of the book, just go with my instinct buy it anyways
If i didn't like it, I would never return it,instead take it downstairs to our community library in the basement of my building, put it in the 'donate bx'

I once got a heating pad filled with some kind of beans. You were supposed to heat it up in the microwave. The trouble was, once the beans heated up, they stunk to high heaven! It went down the trash chute; I couldn't get it out of the house fast enough!
