Do you think it is worth it to try to look younger

I'll never forget Joan Rivers' eyes... stretched due to so many facial plastic surgeries. I would not do that to myself. I'll just age ~ naturally.

I would not have facial surgery and risk looking like some of those botched surgery celebs. It's very sad what happened to them and I would feel like suing the doctors who did it.

I do like to have my original hair color...looks much better than how it changed.

I color my hair and have my nails done but not to look younger, I have always done them. My hair I have been coloring it since I was 13 so I am not going to stop now. I would not have any of those treatments or surgery. Now if there was a treatment to get rid of facial hair, I might consider that. But I don't go to doctors unless I am really, really sick. If I can't make myself look presentable in public, then I will just suffer through it.

If I could afford it, I'd have a couple of small-ish things done. I'd love to get an eye lift so I don't look so tired all the time. Except for my eyes, I really don't have much in the way of wrinkles. Maybe I'd get my turkey-neck done, too.

Frankly, with the kind of money Donatella Versace has, I can't understand how she ended up looking like a 300-year old vampire in a Grade-B horror movie...…..
yes I'd get an eye lift too...in fact before the pandemic I was seriously thinking about it... but after looking into the procedure, I kinda hot-tailed it back out again, not sure if I'd want to go under an anaesthetic to have a cosmetic procedure done...

I should have taken the chance to have my hands done before I got OA in them .. I have old hands.. always have had really.., people think I've had work done because they compare my face to my hands, but it's not true, I just inherited my old hands from my granny...

Let , me find a picture that shows my ugly hands.. if I can...

Even at 16 in a horrible photo booth picture , you can see how old my hands looked...

I don't have any reason to change the way my face looks
I never dyed my hair,it started turning prematurely gray in my mid 30's
As for wearing makeup, never wanted to put that stuff on my face

Judge Judy's had some eye work done. When she looks straight at the camera, looks OK, but when she looks down at a document ... hard to explain but doesn't look right. Old episodes don't show this unusual look.

Wonder if she has had her horn sized down. 🤔

I can't believe you would say such a thing. Very disappointing. Ugh.

Plastic surgery makes you look worse, not better.

On the other hand, many seniors I know would benefit from losing weight, paying more attention to grooming, dressing a bit better and drinking less. I should know, I'm one of them.

It isn't for me. Have I thought about what a difference it could make? Yup. But definitely not worth trying.
You NEVER know what the end result will be and also...why in the world would you put yourself through any of that for vanity's sake?
I'm aging but that is a blessing, not a curse.

I stopped coloring my hair years ago and wow....I like how it looks. Still brown with some strands of white/gray throughout. Sort of frosted. Some people pay big bucks for this look.

What is so noticeable, is, though the face may look younger, the neck/hands/decolletage/upper arms, still look crepe-y. I suppose those can be worked on as well, but, how far does one go with surgery?

I'm fortunate to have good enough genes and few enough appearance altering events so that I couldn't really think of any cosmetic surgery that I would want.

When I'm working in the office however I do dye my hair to look younger. My wife prefers me to look younger and will probably be happy when I have to go back into the office again. I'm also fortunate enough to have skin and features that tend to look younger than most people my age, so the dyed hair just completes the picture.

I looked through the article and thought some of the transformations were interesting. I actually met Janice Dickinson a little under 7 years ago and we spent the evening with her and the doctor who gave her treatments to lessen the effects of bad cosmetic surgery. She was a wonderful warm person and was extremely helpful for his help. She and the doctor were at a fundraiser for an organization that made the expensive treatments available to children and teenagers who could be helped by the treatments to correct birth defects and/or accidental disfigurement.

The only person I met, who had obvious plastic surgery was Debbie Reynolds. When she was on stage, she looked like she did in those 50s -60s movies. - all perky and cute. I met her at the end of her career. Quite frankly, her face freaked me out. She had these weird tattooed eye brows half way up her forehead. And where you would normally see her eye brows, it was a hairless eye brow. When the rest of the human race has hairy eyebrows, and you don't; it's really freaky. Plus she had these squares all over her face from having all the surgery done. All I could think of when I met her was " OMG! You did this to yourself." As far as me looking cute and perky, those days are way long ago. I'm an old goat. I'm 74, and I can't think of any good reason to look like I'm 64. I don't want to wind up looking like a Debbie Reynolds. I can honestly say that it would not improve my movie career. That means I'll just have to settle for being an Abercrombie & Finch model.

The look of Joan's eyes were due to botox, not surgery. I heard her say that for several months after a botox procedure she could not close her eyes and had to sleep with them open.

I loved Joan Rivers. So wacky. Her botox & surgeries were part of her act. She was close friends with Prince Charles. Would have loved to hear them talk to each other!

I'm a believer in being the best you that you can be at whatever age you are, and aging with a measure of class and dignity. Do maintenance and care for yourself, sure, but don't go full-out Michael Jackson and become what nature never intended. Besides, the most important key to staying young lies between your ears...
