Left & Right Socks?

At the rate society is going, underpants are going to need an additional tag at the front so people know front vs back when putting them on.

teens, especially girls, often have on mismatched sox. lazy? of course! "trendy"? definitely! hoping to get the attention of some boy? absolutely! on a 1-166 year old girl mismatched sox look cute. on someone my/our age? eyebrows are raised!
I think I know how that trend started. When my DIL does laundry, instead of matching and folding all the kids' socks, she tosses them all into what's labeled the "sock basket". Problem is, the kids are too lazy to match and fold them. They just grab the first two they like.

a few years back, was aide for a special needs student in 7-8th grade. at that time, the boys seemed to ONLY wear Nike... shirts, shorts, sox, shoes. i'm assuming the underwear was Nike, too. and everything always matched... specific shirt to go with certain shorts. certain sox with certain shoes. seems those sox were $25-30 a pair. now there's something just WRONG with a 12 yo walking around in $25 sox.

ETA: OH, can't forget the matching hat, sweat pants, hoodie and backpack.

I opened up a new pack of work socks I bought last Fall, and discovered that they are "ankle" socks....hardly what I would wear while doing my outdoor chores. Oh, well, I'll take them up to the local animal shelter and I'm sure they can find someone who wants them.

When I was in high school, they hired an old jock to teach us "phys ed." He wasn't the swiftest critter on the planet. He'd yell at us to "bend over and touch your two left feets". He would get so angry when we didn't do what he wanted. And some of the things he yelled at us the human body was not capable of moving. Strange thing was we were always supposed to touch our" two left feets", but he never yelled at us to touch our "two right feets".

The makers of gloves should start labeling them with a big R and a big L.

Same goes for pants, label those legs!
