Bill Cosby’s Sex Assault Conviction Overturned by Court

Not because he is innocent, but because of a previous deal-
"the prosecutor who brought the case was bound by his predecessor's agreement not to charge Cosby."
Then the prosecutor should have included Cosby keeping his mouth shut; talk about it, and the deal is off. In fact I think that's always part of the deal. Hope the old fart's weapon lost it's capabilities.

Prosecutorial misconduct happens more often than you would think. One advantage for Cosby is that he has the money for excellent lawyers. In this country there are two justice systems: one for the lesser folks and one for the rich.

The case was a he said/she said and the original prosecutor concluded that there wasn't enough evidence to try Cosby on criminal charges. So the prosecutor made a deal to get Cosby to talk for civil charges. Then the subsequent prosecutor reneged on the deal. PA Supreme Court said not so fast. As a result, Cosby is a free man. No retrial applicable.

That's always been my belief as well.

DA's occupy an extremely important place in the court system.
They decide who is guilty and who is not guilty before the trials begin.
Their job is to convict people-period. They have little or no interest in the truth/
Guilty or innocent has little importancne, 'Can we get a conviction is their only concern.

Unfortunately, this is the way it is. We have more non-justice coming up because any one can be bought and paid for (and they are) and the "guilty" won't ever be prosecuted.

Cosby Show co-star Phylicia Rashad tweeted her support for her longtime colleague Bill Cosby shortly after his sexual assault conviction was overturned Wednesday.

'FINALLY!!!! A terrible wrong is being righted- a miscarriage of justice is corrected!' she wrote in the tweet posted at 1.30pm.

Rashad played Claire Huxtable, the wife of Cosby's character Cliff Huxtable, on all eight seasons, from 1984 to 1992, of the Emmy Award-winning sitcom.

Rashad, who was recently named dean of the Howard University College of Fine Arts, has supported her former co-star in the past despite the allegations against him.

That's a gross exaggeration.
I wish it was, but it is true.
The DA decides if you stand trial.
Their only interest is 'winning,' if your without funds, have to rely on a public defender (which are inadequate)
your guilty.
There only interest is conviction, not justice. There unrelenting in their desire to have high stats of convictions/

In my state, there all 'want'a be politicians-The DA's office is a springboard to running for political office: judge, mayor, governor...
I've see it time and time again.

I've spent a lot of time at courthouse, listening to the Assistant DA's gossip. Their ambitions, and will ignore what is truth.

The courts have their investigators, very few investigators and incompetent.
One court investigator for several courts, they can only be involved with high profile cases.

If your poor your going to jail.
