Shark attacks to be rebranded 'encounters' by activists to help predator's deadly image

I guess I have had many shark "encounters", but the only one that ever bit me was a small one I was trying to unhook. I have a friend who actually got bitten whilst snorkeling, lost 2 fingers and got over 100 stiches. I would not call that just an "encounter".

The words have different meanings, a lot more things qualify as "encounters" than "attacks", to avoid confusion we probably need to keep the original words.

Never bitten but could have been. We used to picnic at night on a beach close to Humacao Playa in Puerto Rico. Night swimming to cool off was a natural thing to do. That was until a fisherman stopped by our fire to let us know night swimming was dangerous. He said Bull sharks frequented the bay at night & were known to attack humans oops sorry activists have negative encounters. Stooping down to skim the surface of the water we could see several fins not very far out from where we were.

After that we still had picnics but skipped swimming.

Between Luquillo Beach & Humacao Playa I can't say which is better.

Bull sharks are found in tidal rivers on the east coast of OZ. They tend to take dogs and new immigrants who don't know not to swim when the sun is going down. No way would I take a dip in any river that was open to the sea.

Shark attacks are not encounters. They are going to eat you alive.😬

We should start a "Go Fund Me." The Shark needs a dental implant on the top front. They're expensive & he probably can't afford it.
His girlfriends will notice it when he smiles at them & it's a turnoff.
