When you were dating (age not important) Women: would you date a man one foot shorter than you and Men: would you date a woman one foot taller than you? I might go out with a woman a foot taller but probably not often.

As a teen, I dated a guy who was shorter than me, we broke up after a very short relationship. Had nothing to do with his height, he was wanting an intimate relationship, and his motive was very transparent. I wasn't ready for anything like that, and he tried to convince me. Regardless of height, I have no tolerance for pushy people who only consider their self rewards.

He never had a problem with taller women. (nor did the cat)

LOL - "Very Short Relationship."

Probably not. I prefer a man to be at least 6 feet tall. My first husband was about 6'2, my second husband was 6 feet but over the years I did date a couple of people who were not much taller than me. One was when I was a teenager. I'm a hair under 5'4 BTW.

My first ex was 6'1". She always complained that men would freak out around herr, because of her height. She said she could never wear heels at dances or functions because of her height. We were in a grocery store and the subject came up. I didn't think men were as fragile as that when it comes to tall women. She said" See that guy in the check out line, I can get him to move to another line". The guy was a little short, but not by much. We got in line behind him. My ex did not talk to him, or anything. All she did was stand with her back to him, and talked to me. The guy put his groceries on the counter, then he grabbed them up and went to the very back of another line. I couldn't believe it. I'm 6 feet tall, and I had no idea that men were so obsessive about their height.

A foot is a big difference. I'm five foot one and a half inches, or I was when we married. My husband is six foot. When we danced, instead of being cheek to cheek, it was cheek to tie tack. For a sneaky kiss I had to stand on a step or step stool. However we have managed quite well and we will celebrate 60 years of marriage in 18 months time. If we both make it, of course. In the end, what does height matter?

I’ve never met a man a foot shorter than me.
But i’ve always found men on the short side especially attractive…as in 5’7ā€ or shorter…something in my wiring, i guess.
Never had the pleasure of dating one tho, just not that many of them around.
