My hatred for this man knows no bounds

NIH is the largest public funder of biomedical research in the world, at more than $32 billion https://www.nih.gov/grants-funding .

Animal testing, including dogs, has long been a part of biomedical research. Without it we would all lead much less healthy lives.

The NIH has guidelines for treatment of lab animals, but the animals are still not treated well by our "pet" standards https://grants.nih.gov/grants/olaw/guide-for-the-care-and-use-of-laboratory-animals.pdf And if we want to be healthy its not realistic to expect them to be. We also treat farm animals cruelly by many standards. Its just what we as humans do...

Fauci knows this, so do millions of others. However to expect that he was personally involved with one grant representing something like 0.00001% of the NIH grant budget doesn't make sense. And I have seen no evidence these studies violated NIH guidelines...

While we are upset over the use of animals in scientific research, let's remember that 4.94 million people have died from Covid. And great people like Dr. Fauci have been working to find a cure to save millions more.
And while some are criticizing this fine man, they should ask themselves how science has made their lives, and the lives of those they love, better and healthier.

I'm taking two off this list and probably more: Animal tested drugs.

I love dogs and it's heart breaking to think they might have been in pain for any of these tests, but human life means a lot to me, too. Gary Francione, the Abolitionist Approach founder disapproves all animal testing won't even take the Covid vaccine because it was tested on horseshoe crabs.

Very true, everything you said!

I have mixed feelings about this. I despise cruelty to animals yet I also feel if by doing so they can find a cure for a child or an adult it might be ok.
I love dogs, love them more than most humans. As many know, I have a totally disabled son. I have two sons that have had open heart surgery and one son that has had closed heart surgery. I make no apologies, I am totally 100% for animal experiments.
