Cuba wants Gitmo back as part of the deal with the U.S.!

Seeing that we squeezed it out of them as part of a deal to stop the occupation after the Spanish American War I think they should have it back. After all, how would we have liked it if some foreign country occupied a small part of our country. Further, the rationale for having a base to operate in that part of the world to protect the U.S. and its interests no longer exists. So get on board with me to give Gitmo back...

We got it; let's keep it. It's good military strategy. It helped keep the Russian rockets out of that communistic island so close to us.

I have a good friend who travels to Gitmo several times a year and provides toilet articles for our troops stationed there. She's in the cosmetic industry
and has a good supply to donate. Screw the Castro brothers!

Not to mention how much that clusterfutch is costing the taxpayer..

The United States government spends about $2.7 million per prisoner per year to operate the Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba, theWashington Post reports.
That estimate comes from a recent study by the Miami Herald’s Carol Rosenberg, who has covered Gitmo since 2002. According to Rosenberg, the U.S. will spend $454 million this year to maintain the facility and pay troop salaries, among other fees — a little under half a billion dollars.
