No words. Those dumpster divers saved that baby.
Yes, women can remain anonymous, but I think the problem is they don't want to show their faces due to shame when they get rid of their child.Fey, the law already provides for the dropper offer to remain anonymous. Info can be requested, name etc., but is not required to be answered.
I checked on that also, it is due to Minnesota's new Bail reform laws.Only $10k bail?
Its a sad story...
It's one reason why I despise child abusers so much. That includes my mother, who had 4 kids she didn't want.I cannot imagine what you must have gone through win231 to experience that. Experiencing such an incident I think would have affected my whole life. How does one forget that?
There have been women & girls unaware of their pregnancies until labor. My MIL was one of them, not for my husband but for one of his younger sisters. And she already had lots of kids, but yet did not know. And she claims she didn't know she was pregnant and once she realized it she tried to hide it from the boyfriend. Excuse abuse.
The pathetic part is a few years from now she'll probably be suing for parental rights of somekind after the baby is taken away from her.
If it was a safe haven abandonment or other such measure, maybe, but she will not regain custody of a baby she attempted to murder. Is it a foregone conclusion teen mom will lose custody? Not necessarily at all.
I worked in foster care. I've seen worse happen, where kids actually died. She panicked, temporary insanity; maybe with counseling and what if the father wants the baby? Or the grandparents? This may not be over.If it was a safe haven abandonment or other such measure, maybe, but she will not regain custody of a baby she attempted to murder.
Oh sure, other family members can Petition for Guardianship etc., but her, no!I worked in foster care. I've seen worse happen, where kids actually died. She panicked, temporary insanity; maybe with counseling and what if the father wants the baby? Or the grandparents? This may not be over.
That was not the impression i got when i read a brief synopsis of the NM law, but i could have a misunderstood.Fey, the law already provides for the dropper offer to remain anonymous. Info can be requested, name etc., but is not required to be answered.
I understand the sole independent sovereign issue. That was not the impression i got when i read a brief synopsis of the NM law, but i could have a misunderstood.
Keep in mind these things are matter of State law and not uniform across the country.
"Help" is not what she needs. It is a sad state of affairs and I am sure covid just made it a whole lot worse. Then the pope is telling us how selfish we are to adopt animals rather than having children. So many people, not fit to be parents, not fit to have pets. Thank God for the people trying to make life better for us all.
Thinking about this mum, what sort of help will she get? if any.
That is why Susan Smith murdered her two precious little boys. Even while married she wished a relationship with a man with bucks. He said he did not want kids! Well, she eliminated the obstacles!Reminds me of a woman who had 3 kids & wanted to date a co-worker, but he said he didn't want a woman with kids. So she tried to kill all of her kids by shooting them. Her 3 year old was permanently paralyzed & her 7 year old daughter died.

Human beings are animals.I can't find the words to say how that makes me feel. Human beings acting worse than animals.
One can only guess what goes through the mind of a person in this situation butThanks for the link.
But still interesting that two officials in one NM town would like to make it more anonymous.
Thing is in a lot of NM towns, people might know exactly who someone is even if they don't agree to 'give' info. We have many towns of under 1,000 people
To me the big upside of making it as anonymous as possible is some reduction of incidents like this one. Of course there are other options, but really not up for that debate at the moment. One can only guess what goes through the mind of a person in this situation but
seriously if they worry about a small town finding out they do not know what is coming down the road... her dealing with it
how many people have big problems in life .........trying to cover up / hide or just not mentally accept it and keeping secrets takes a toll
they know it and will always know it ..... maybe a person will show up to ask why that would be harder to deal with then the nosy lady in town.
