Two of the biggest issues I’ve encountered when dealing with zoom meetings … failing to turn on either audio or video, or making sure they’re un-muted. If you can’t see/hear the host, or other participants, or they can’t see/hear you, start by finding those settings first and toggling the on/off.

Yes. I'll just go ahead and plan a first try for tomorrow, 02.02.22 at 2:00 US EST and whoever can make it will. We'll see how it goes from there and adjust accordingly.

It's possible that I won't make it tomorrow but I hope that whomever does has a fun time. If the first one is a success and i see no reason that it won't be, I hope that there will be others in the future. It's unlikely that a day and time will ever be ideal for everyone who'd like to be involved but by that same token, there's no reason why another or a few others of us members couldn't organize another meeting at a different time. It's not a hard thing to do and there's more of a connection, for me, when I hear an actual voice or see who it is hiding behind that avatar. Here's to friendship and to camaraderie!

Okay, I'm posting this separately as well to make it more visible: I'm scheduling a Coffee Klatch Meeting (first run) for tomorrow, Wednesday, 02.02.22 at 2:00pm US EST.
I'll post the link here on the thread in the same way I'm posting this message now so it will simply show up as a new post.
What you should see is an invitation link and an ID code to input. - We cann discuss the need (or lack thereof) for passcodes, etc. at the meeting.
We'll try this time and tweak as we go along until we find the one that works best for most.
Hope you guys can make it. I'm looking foward to showing off my dentures.
Oh, as @Ronni pointed out, on entering, check your audio/video by mousing to the bottom on your screen. The options will be in the (or should be) left-hand bottom corner.

Forgot to mention: I have a friend who runs a few ZOOM meetings, has a paid account and has offerred to let me use it if we decide we'd like longer meeting times in future.

Okay, all set. The meeting is scheduled and link info is beneath this text.
Just follow the link below (tomorrow at 2P) and input the ID and Passcode (which I didn't have a choice about, apparently, lol).
Your audio will be off when you enter so be sure to mouse to the bottom left and turn it on if you want to be available audibly. Right next to that option will be video, I believe and just a few options over, to the right, you'll see the "chat" option. So you can be involved in any or all of those ways.
**If you Google: "zoom meeting screen" you should get a nice clear picture of what I'm talking about. It will be easy. Promise.

I just posted the info. for the meeting - link, etc. at the bottom of this thread. I may repost it tomorrow, 30 mins. or so before the meeting to make sure it's readily accessible. ... Or I may be a weirdo about it and post to everyone's profile individually to make sure it's easy to find and use.

Oh, you don't need to know about ZOOM - I'll send you the link and password. You'll only need to go to ZOOM online or download it and type in the key and password I send you.
