To really be fair, if the forum rules allowed for honest comment on US politicians, many here would be in the same boat at Snow. Only difference would be, the American members and politicians would be negatively and honestly targeted, by US citizens more than Canadians or others. And rightfully so, IMO. Who do you think would have called the first name if the infamous inciter was criticized? Difference there, is those insults would be warranted.

Best wishes to you in whatever you decide. All I know is that some of the members make this form worthwhile. You will find that out if you stay. And we are all human and prone to be mistaken and misunderstood and some really do care.
 
Right now I can't believe the warm reception I received....I have no words nor did I know so many cared...what happened was my fault I acted childishly and embarrassed myself....I knew better than to get into politics....I called a friend of mine and told her about what happened (I had told her I love being a part of this forum the day I joined) the first thing she asked was...were you in politics? yikes she knows me so well..I can laugh at myself even take a put down and make it funny...but I find it difficult to accept disparaging people I look up to..but that is no excuse...I thank each and every one of you for asking me to stay...if I ever offend anyone please let me know...I am abrupt and love to joke but I do not intentionally hurt anyone..thank you all..you have made a little old 74 lady happy;)

I see that she posted this thread at 6:23 p.m. my time and on 6:47 p.m. in a private message to me after talking back and forth she stated that she will stay and just stay away from certain areas of the forum. Now I am just going from the timeline of the two posts and I would still wait to hear from her directly, but I think she is staying.

I apologized and yes I am embarrassed there was no reason for name calling I am better than that...I can take what is thrown at me but not when someone I look up to is disparaged..and that is no excuse...none at all....I am angry at myself and I will make sure to stay away from politics thank you to those who forgave my digressions...

you might very well be sorry for that invite I do not share ice cream very well and on top of that if I were to shed fake tears you would have no choice but to let me have the whole tub...and maybe even the chocolates if I do like in the movies and start shaking and gasping for breath as I cry my little old heart out...darn i'm good could have been in the movies....thank you ever so much it is because of you and others u that I can't walk away thank you...so very much now hand over those chocolates :ROFLMAO:

the people here are great I knew that from day one...but I needed this infraction on my part to know just how great they really are...
 
Snow, I'm so glad you are staying. During my first couple of months I literally sent PMs to some members apologizing for my responses and all were gracious enough to call "bygones". I have since learned a lot about everyones' character and do my best to tread lightly with some while still expressing my opinions to try to add to the forum. Sometimes I fall off the wagon, as we all do!
