Pet peeves? Lets hear yours.

We live on a street where all the houses have three car garages, but even though all of these families consist of only one or two adults, those garages are packed solid with objects of such great value they can stored chaotically for years and never used.

They park in the driveway, giving the whole neighborhood a sort of tacky appearance and come garbage collection day they always to have three bins to our one.
We're not permitted more than one garbage bin to be emptied on garbage collection day...except once a fortnight, when our recycle bins are emptied (2).. one for cardboard and recyclable plastic waste , glass and cans , and the other for grass and food waste

..but the general waste bin is emptied every other week, and we're only allowed one bin

People who drive huge, disgusting SUVs like GMC Yukons, Cadillac Escalades, etc. They are typically driven by soccer moms who maybe have two kids max. They are typically the ones who hog two lanes or turn at the last minute because they are distracted because they are on their phones.
Take comfort in the fact that they pay a fortune to fill the gas tank, and their shape & high center of gravity means terrible mpg. 😊

People using lose instead of loose and vice versa

loose = not tight
lose = can't find

Or mixing up there and their:

there = not here
their = belonging to them

But you don't want to say anything because they're nice people.

Did I mention automated phone systems here? I've certainly done so on a ton of threads I cannot recall ever saying so here. Well, these make me want to commit mayhem and track down the inventor of same and do commit some unspeakable, depraved and utterly brutal acts upon his person. I absolutely need a strait jacket each and every time I am connected to one of these which is almost daily.

Why is everyone obsessed with overly spicy food? Habinero this and rub that and toss on a bit of Devils Liquid Fire. WTH? Those kind of spices are for hiding the taste of rat meat, yet these days people seem to think any type of dish needs spiced up to the extreme.

If spice over rides all the natural flavors what's the point?
