even though we've never met and probably never will ..if I promise to talk to you for hours on the phone every day , would you be kind enough to send me a few million..and I will promise to love you long time...

Dear God.....has this woman a Masters degree in stupidity?

A woman has defended her decision to sent $1.4 million to her online lover in Africa - who she has never met.
Twice-divorced Sarah met Chris Olsen online 18 months ago.
Though the mysterious man's accent has changed over time, and he keeps asking for money to be wired to various different countries, Sarah insists she is '95 per cent certain' that he is telling her the truth.
Despite his numerous attempts to come home so they can be together, she says, he keeps getting arrested on false charges.

Course I will, Holly; I do this every day; I am not at all cynical, sarcastic, and I trust EVERYBODY...

LOL....well thank you Viv...I luuuurve you already :D

How can someone so stupid have so much money in the first place I wonder?

I can't send you the money, Holly, but if you look out your front window you'll see a windowless van parked at the curb with the side door open. The money is in there.

... don't be afraid ... it really IS in there ...

I've got seven million dollars I'm going to send you but due to government regulations YOU are required to pay the security fee for sending such a large amount of money. As soon as I get $3,467.89 from you, the seven million dollars will be on its way.

You can thank me when we finally meet, my love

Transferring it now RK...you seem to be the only genuine person on here..that Phil guy told me the money was in the van..there's not even a van out there only a police patrol car...tssssk...

I',m transferring the security fee now along with my bank details so you can deposit the 7 million immediately...I will love you long time.. I pwomise... *mwah* *mwah*.. my daaahlink man

There is another way of looking at these situations I think. The people who give in to crooks like this must be so lonely and so desperately lacking in self esteem, that all it takes is flattery or promises of love to suck them into these kinds of cons. I think loneliness and poor self esteem can affect people differently. Some become cynical and angry and others begin to believe lies.

It's that last 5 per cent that gets 'em every time!

Internet pan handling. Forget the con people are "raising" money for what ever over the internet simply by asking for it. I forget the name or practice but they are nothing but panhandlers.

You sure you don't do this part time???

Oh don't worry on my behalf...jujube..I've given all the *Nigerians* my money already , I met them all when I first started on the internet over 15 years ago...that's why they have so much now to offer to you..because I gave them all of mine..

Then you have the constant "GoFundMe" appeals.....help pay for funeral expenses....send my child to camp....pay my college tuition....send me on a mission trip. Those are the last four I received from acquaintances. It's absolutely astounding the amount of money that can be raised with a "GoFundMe" account. Many are legit but the idea of appealing to strangers or near-strangers is not something I'd want to do.

I like when the anti-spammers take on the Nigerians and have them do all sorts of ridiculous things, like taking pictures of themselves with a fish on their heads. :D
