No need. I'm already overrun with them out here.Pretty to see. If you plant berry bushes or apple trees the deer will flock to your place. They love it. And, it's natural too.
I also have, besides those, coyotes, black bear and now and then a cougar passes through. A family of hawks nests in the tree behind the barn every year.Do you put food out for them? When my kids and I lived up in the hills, I'd toss out table-scraps (safe ones) and vegetable peelings for the deer and foxes and raccoons. I'd dump it far enough from the cabin so they didn't get into my stuff, but close enough so the kids could watch and appreciate them.
I saw one on the side of the read on a fairly busy street early at night after the woods were cleared in that area.There used to be a lot of deer in my area but the population has been intentionally thinned. I do see a few in the evenings when I take the dog for our walks at sunset.
