Or, is it just the members of the Parliament, that are of that Party, who vote on this @hollydolly ?How many Conservative Party members get to vote? Isn't it something like 160K?

No it is the Conservative party members as a whole, roughly 180,000 people.. who will initially vote ... for the person to lead the party... .. each party member will need to gain a minimum of 100 votes to be able to progress to the next stage. Once they've whittled it down to 2.. then the Parliamentary MP's only, get to BallotOr, is it just the members of the Parliament, that are of that Party, who vote on this @hollydolly ?
Like the sayings go..."You know what you got but you never know what you're gonna get" and "Stick with the evil you know". HD, besides the all telling giving the uber rich tax breaks (and not the hard working people who need it most) what other flaws did she have that made her so unfit? Wasn't following closely so I can't even venture to guess.princess Anne couldn't run the country... not that Boris was great at it.. but hey...![]()
oh Diva.. I can't go into that, I'll break all the No Politics rules of the forum... but trust me she's cost the ordinary person.. hundreds if not thousands of pounds going forward..particularly everyone with a Mortgage, and many people on benefits.... In a Nutshell she undone 10 years of work by the party... in just 40 days.....I'm sure you'd be able to find more information online... save me getting my hands slapped..Like the sayings go..."You know what you got but you never know what you're gonna get" and "Stick with the evil you know". yes he is Tish...@hollydolly can you confirm if Borris is planning his return or not, please?
Off topic. Is that a boot scrape on the doorstep? Not what one would normally expect at Prime Minister’s door.Larry stays.

Sadly this is true. All those who plotted to get rid of Johnson should have considered carefully who would replace him.I thought the Brits wanted to get Boris out of there. From over here, I can't tell which of the two is better (or worse). But it's good to know that the US is not the only country that has such a poor selection of leaders that the only consideration is which one isn't the worst.
yes... and why not, it serves them well I suspect when there's snow and slush...Off topic. Is that a boot scrape on the doorstep? Not what one would normally expect at Prime Minister’s door.
My mother still lives in the house we grew up in - it's in a row of lovely old townhouses and they all have the original boot scrape.Off topic. Is that a boot scrape on the doorstep? Not what one would normally expect at Prime Minister’s door.
well it's been confirmed today Rishi Sunak will be our new PM... we can only hope and pray that he'll be an asset... that's all we have..I saw the same thing Hols. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse for the world. My condolences.

Had to look it up, but the house was built in 1735, so I assume that many very old things remain in the building. You have a better eye than I do. I was just dazzled by the pretty kitty being petted. Plus boot scrapes that I've seen in the U.S. are just a straight iron scrape.Off topic. Is that a boot scrape on the doorstep? Not what one would normally expect at Prime Minister’s door.
I hope it works out. I know your pain of worry over our "leaders." Hope he likes cats and if he doesn't, too bad.well it's been confirmed today Rishi Sunak will be our new PM... we can only hope and pray that he'll be an asset... that's all we have..![]()
I'm sure the cat belongs to the people who manage the house/offices and not the PM..I hope it works out. I know your pain of worry over our "leaders." Hope he likes cats and if he doesn't, too bad.
we have all different types here.. this is just a few.. also remember that 10 Downing Street was built in 1684.. so in those days the road would have been mud and people would have arrived by horse and cart..not even a carriage..Had to look it up, but the house was built in 1735, so I assume that many very old things remain in the building.
