I am very sick of hearing things about Politics but mostly about abortion. Years ago my friend lost her husband who was a fireman. He died fighting a fire. Before they could pronounce him dead they had to check my friend to see if she was pregnant. she already had a daughter with a condition. The Institute of Human Potential went every day to try to help her daughter.
They told her not to have another child because it was an inherited condition. So for seven years she never got pregnant again, When they tested her after her husband died she was shocked because they said she was pregnant. When she was waiting for the results to see if the new baby would be born with the same condition she and I sat crying waiting for the results. If the baby would have the same condition she would have to have an abortion. Thankfully the new baby didn't have the same condition and she didn't need an abortion. I wish people would mind their own opinion,

It might well be what I heard growing up, but my family pronounced "AUNT as 'ant'. But a certain facet of society pronounces it as ONT.
I'm sick of hearing that. It really bothers me when the lowest class of people alter the English language.

You shouldn't let your phone battery get down past this number or up past that number. And never plug it in until it's below 60%. Then I find out that you shouldn't plug it in "too often," because the more you plug it in, the harder it is on the battery.

Good thing I'm retired. Otherwise I'd be phoning in to work every day. "Sorry, I'll be late. This is the only time of day I can plug in my phone."

Are you aware that you haven't had your booster?
I'm being harassed to have every vaccination going, even though I have explained at length the very good reasons why I don't intend to have any more. They are not taking any notice.
yes I'm getting the same.. emails for everywhere.. the NHS, the local pharmacy the local vaccination centre.. to ''book your Booster and Flu vaccinations NOW''..

Actually as someone that for a decade has stopped watching daily TV or radio or web news, for over 2 decades stopped reading newspapers, and is not a member of any post smartphone social media, my ears HEAR very little that might annoy or rot my mind. Yes I do READ some web news though mainly just scan news titles on a few main news sites without actually mouse selecting but few. Especially ignore political and celebrity news. As a senior, I don't have that many more years in this finite existence, so prefer not to affect my mind with all manner of polluting manipulations of those in control I have little hope of having effective influence over. Instead am more engaged in enjoying my remaining years while keeping a loose tab on what is ongoing in the world younger generations can deal with.

I like to just let it slide too. As for the state of the world, I can see for myself and seek peace for myself and others.

Political flyers in my mailbox. All week same flyers everyday. And ad after ad on tv. Same one each night.
I'm seeing political ads interrupt YouTube videos. Worst part is, you can't skip these ads like you can most others. At least when it's mail you can toss it before you even look at it.

If I was in charge, every major political candidate would get a free online website, one free page in a major newspaper, and up to 10-minutes of TV time, no charge. And that's it. Anything beyond that, they'd have to take on the road; town-hall speeches, soap-boxes in the park, passing out flyers, etc. No door-to-door stuff, though.

I'm sick of the older generation telling the younger generation that since they had to suffer through something when they were younger, the youth must do so as well too, without keeping in mind the circumstances might have changed drastically, calling for a different response.
