Other than playing nickel dime poker or shooting pool in the Army back in the day to get enough money for a pack of smokes I've never been a gambler, gone to Vegas or been inside of a casino but we bought five $2.00 tickets for the drawing last night (for what little good it did) and we'll do the same for the drawing Saturday night......11-5-2022.

Anybody else gonna throw away a couple of bucks for the extremely slim chance of winning 1.5 billion ?

I made a quick trip to the grocery store this morning, and tossed $2 into the lottery machine. The odds are ridiculous, but "infinite" if you don't play. I can't imagine ever having that much money.

Even though I play the Lottery often I could not even imagine winning that kind of money. Could you even imagine how many people or organizations you could help? My Daughter was a nurse at CHOP for years that would be the first place I would donate to.

Since The National Lottery first launched in the UK in 1994, it's created more than 6,500 millionaires and paid out £53 billion in prizes.
Given the average spend people make on the lottery, if that spend over the 28 years since 1994 had been saved, nearly £25K would be in the bank.

I will play...Let you know Sunday..

I invested $20 in a powerball ticket for the Saturday drawing, and this morning I am working my list of folks who I want to share it with, and a second list of those who I won't. So far I have 3 people in the first list, and 107 on the second list.

I seldom ever play but ... I might just throw in a few bucks on this one.

Frankly though , that amount is almost scary ! Another frankly ... the lesser amount drawings are probably the ones [I/we] should play & hope to win.
Less money, less attention , yet still a damn nice win-fall.

I'm too lazy to go out and buy a ticket. I've never even won a dollar on these things. So, I stopped buying the tickets. I easily get discouraged.

I just want enough to not have to work again, and not have to worry about money ever again. Whatever that number is will make me happy. :giggle:

I take it that you are no where near ~ retirement age? Anyways, I wish you luck!!! Oh, I see that you live in San Diego. My favorite place. I love the zoo, etc. Isn't it expensive to live there? Just wondering.

Well shucks.😢

No winner last night but it's up to 1.9 billion or a cash payout of 929 million for the drawing tomorrow night.....Monday 11-7-2022.

For those that are playing........Good Luck !!
